Philippians 1:6 is one of the kindest sentences Paul ever wrote: 'And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.'
Notice who's working. He began it. He will complete it. From start to finish, God is the one doing the building. You are not the contractor; you are the project.
'Will bring it to completion' is confident language. Paul isn't crossing his fingers. He's stating something he believes God has guaranteed.
And the deadline is 'the day of Jesus Christ.' That's a longer runway than most of us give God. He doesn't always work on our timeline. He works toward a finish line we can't see yet.
