Count the promises. Five in one sentence. God packs this verse because he knows fear doesn't usually retreat on a single argument.
'I am with you.' Presence is the first answer to fear. Children calm down not because the danger is removed but because the parent is near.
'I am your God.' Possessive. You're not alone in the universe trying to flag down divine attention. You belong to him.
Then three verbs — strengthen, help, uphold. The first puts iron in your bones. The second gives you what you can't supply. The third holds you when you'd otherwise fall.
Whatever you're afraid of today, read this verse out loud. Let it argue with the fear until the fear gets quiet.
