'For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.'
Solomon then lists the pairs — a time to be born and a time to die, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.
Notice the symmetry. Both sides are named. The hard seasons aren't intrusions on real life. They are real life. So are the joyful ones.
Most suffering doubles when we resist the season we're in. Trying to laugh when it's time to weep. Trying to build when it's time to tear down. Wisdom is knowing what time it is and acting accordingly.
Whatever season you're in today, God hasn't lost track of the clock. There's a time for this. And there will be a time, in his timing, for the next thing.
