Joshua is old. He's about to die. He gathers all of Israel and makes them choose: serve the Lord, or serve the gods of the cultures around them.
Then he draws a line in the sand. 'Choose this day whom you will serve. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.'
Notice he doesn't try to force the rest of Israel. He gives them a real choice. Faith that's forced isn't faith.
But he doesn't wait for them, either. He leads with his own commitment. He'll serve the Lord whether or not anyone else does.
That's how every meaningful spiritual movement starts — with one household saying yes regardless of what the culture decides. The question for you today is the same one Joshua asked. Who will your house serve?
