Israel had just escaped Egypt. Then they looked back and saw Pharaoh's army racing toward them, with the Red Sea in front of them. Trapped.
They panicked, blamed Moses, wished they'd never left. And Moses, somehow, says this: 'The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.'
Two halves. The Lord will fight — meaning this rescue isn't on you. You don't have the resources for it anyway.
You have only to be silent — meaning stop screaming, stop blaming, stop trying to engineer your way out. Stand still and watch.
Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is nothing — refusing to panic, refusing to manufacture a solution, trusting God to do what only he can do.
