But the outcome isn't in your hands. The Lord establishes the steps. Sometimes that matches your plan. Sometimes it doesn't.
Most of our anxiety comes from confusing the two. We think because we planned something, we're entitled to it. We're not. We're entitled to walk faithfully with God through whatever actually happens.
The freedom in this verse is real. You can hold your plans loosely, because they were never the load-bearing thing. The Lord directing your steps is.
