Abraham is asked to do the unthinkable: take his son Isaac up a mountain and offer him as a sacrifice. He goes. He builds the altar. He raises the knife.
And then — only then — God stops him and provides a ram caught in the thicket. Abraham names the place Jehovah-Jireh: the Lord will provide.
Notice the timing. The provision didn't come at the bottom of the mountain. It didn't come halfway up. It came at the absolute last second, after Abraham had already obeyed the hard part.
That's often the shape of God's provision. It rarely arrives early enough to make obedience easy. It arrives just in time to prove he was there the whole way.
