- 04You can't fake fruit for long. But you can cultivate the tree.

Galatians 5:22 — 'The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.' This list gets quoted a lot. And it's often treated like a checklist of goals.
But the word 'fruit' matters. Fruit isn't something you force into existence by trying hard. It's what grows naturally when a tree is healthy, rooted, and connected to what it needs.
So the question isn't 'How do I produce more patience?' The question is 'Am I staying connected to the Spirit?' Because fruit is a byproduct of relationship, not a project of self-improvement.
And notice the list starts with love. Everything else flows from there. Joy, peace, patience — these are all expressions of love in different seasons. Love is the root. The rest is the harvest.
