1 Corinthians 10:13 — 'No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.'

First — your temptation is common. The lie of temptation is always 'no one would understand. No one has faced this.' Paul says: yes they have. And they got through it.

'God is faithful.' He's not watching from a distance. He's setting the limit on what you face. You won't be handed more than he equips you to bear.

'With the temptation he will also provide the way of escape.' The exit is built into the moment. Look for it. There's always a door.

The promise isn't 'no temptation.' Temptation is part of life. The promise is: in every temptation, there's a way through. God hasn't abandoned you to it.
