Matthew 11:28 — 'Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.'
The invitation is universal. All. Not the qualified, not the spiritual elite. Anyone who labors. Anyone with a load.
'Heavy laden' adds something. Some people aren't just busy. They're carrying things — guilt, grief, expectations, regrets. Jesus names that category too.
Rest is the gift. Not a technique. Not a productivity hack. Rest given by a person, to a person. 'I will give.'
And the only action is coming. Drag yourself toward him. Pray a bad prayer. Open the Bible. Show up at church. He does the rest of the work. The invitation is still open today.
