Colossians 3:2 — 'Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.' Paul has just told the Colossians they've died with Christ and been raised with him. Now he tells them what to think about.

'Set your minds.' Set is active. It's a decision. You choose where your attention goes. Your mind doesn't drift upward by accident. It has to be aimed.

'On things above.' Not vague spiritual vibes. Things above means where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. His kingdom. His values. His priorities. The things that last.

'Not on things that are on earth.' This doesn't mean ignore your job, your family, or your responsibilities. It means don't let earthly things be the center. They're temporary. They're passing. They're not the point.

Your mind follows your aim. If you aim it at screens, status, and scores, that's what you'll think about. If you aim it at Christ, his kingdom, and his people, that's what will shape you. Set it. Aim it upward.
