Luke 12:34 — 'For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.' Jesus says this in a section about money, worry, and what actually lasts. And he flips the usual advice.
Most people think: get your heart right first, and your spending will follow. Jesus says the opposite. Put your treasure somewhere that matters, and your heart will migrate there. Hearts follow investment.
'Treasure' isn't just cash. It's time, attention, energy, hope — whatever you store up. Your calendar is as revealing as your bank statement. Your scroll history is as revealing as your budget.
The strategy isn't to try harder to care about the right things. The strategy is to store treasure in the right place. Give to what matters. Invest in people. Spend time on what outlasts you. And your heart will arrive eventually.
So audit your storage. Where is the treasure going? Because that's where your heart already is, or where it's headed. And Jesus says the only storage that lasts is in heaven.
