Numbers 6:24-25 is the Aaronic blessing, the most famous prayer in the Old Testament: 'The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.'

God commanded Aaron and his sons to speak this over the people of Israel. It wasn't optional. It was the official blessing, spoken by God's representatives, carrying God's authority.

'The Lord bless you' — to give every good thing. Prosperity, peace, health, joy, provision. The full package of God's favor.

'And keep you' — to guard, protect, and watch over. Not just from physical danger, but from spiritual harm. To keep you in his care.

'Make his face to shine upon you' — in ancient culture, a shining face meant personal, favorable attention. The king looked at you with delight. God says: I will look at you that way. And 'be gracious to you' — even when you don't deserve it.
