James 4:7: 'Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.'
Notice the order. Submit first. Resist second. Most people try the reverse and wonder why nothing works.
Submission to God means yielding your right to run your life. It's putting your weapons down with him so you can pick them up against the real enemy.
Then — and only then — resist the devil. Stand your ground. Say no to the lies. Refuse the temptation.
'He will flee from you.' Not might. Will. A surrendered Christian, resisting in Jesus's name, sends darkness running every time.
