During the festival, massive lamps burned in the temple. Jesus stood up and made this claim.
He's not a light. He's the light. There's no other source.
Following him means walking out of the dark.
Light of life means you see clearly — your purpose, your direction, your worth. The dark loses its power when you're following him.
