Job 19:25-26: 'For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God.'

Job has lost everything. He's covered in sores. His friends are wrong about him. His wife told him to curse God.

And in the middle of all of it, he says: I know.

Not 'I hope.' I know my Redeemer lives. He will have the last word.

I will see God in the flesh someday. Job is glimpsing resurrection — long before Jesus made it certain. Hold on; your Redeemer lives.
