Plan your path; God directs your steps.

Proverbs 16:9: 'The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.'

Make plans. The verse assumes you will.

But hold them with open hands. God establishes — he confirms, redirects, sometimes overrules.

Your plan is a draft. His direction is the final edit.

When detours come, remember: he's establishing the steps you actually need.
