Luke 15:7 — 'Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.'

Jesus has just told the story of a shepherd who left ninety-nine sheep to go find the one that wandered. When he found it, he carried it home on his shoulders and threw a party.

Then Jesus pulls back the curtain on heaven. That's what it looks like up there when someone comes home. Joy. Celebration. The whole household notices.

Notice what triggers it. Not perfection. Repentance. Turning around. Coming back.

If you've been wondering whether God would be glad to have you back — he's the one running down the road. Heaven is already getting ready to celebrate.
