2 Timothy 3:16 — 'All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.'
'Breathed out by God.' The Greek is theopneustos — literally, God-breathed. Paul probably invented the word. He needed something stronger than 'inspired by God.' He wanted you to picture God's own breath on every page.
Then comes the use. Scripture is profitable for four things. Teaching — what to believe. Reproof — where you've gone wrong. Correction — how to get back on track. Training — how to grow in what's right.
And the goal: that you'd be 'complete, equipped for every good work.' Not just informed. Equipped. The Bible isn't a museum piece. It's a toolbox.
