A scribe walked up to Jesus and asked which commandment in the Law was the greatest. It was a real question — there were 613 commands in the Torah, and rabbis loved debating which carried the most weight.
Jesus answered by quoting Deuteronomy: 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' Four parts, on purpose.
Heart is your desires — what you actually want. Soul is your inner self, the part of you that no one else sees. Mind is how you think and what you give attention to. Strength is your effort, your time, your body.
Put them together and you have everything. Jesus isn't asking for a slice of you. He's asking for all of you — but he's also saying every part of you is welcome.
That's why this is the greatest commandment. Not because it's the hardest, but because it's the most complete. When you love God like this, everything else in your life starts arranging itself around the right center.
