An order has gone out to kill every Jew in the Persian Empire. Mordecai, Esther's cousin, sends her a message: go to the king, plead for your people.
The problem: nobody approaches the king uninvited, including the queen. The penalty is death.
Mordecai's reply is one of the most famous lines in the Bible: 'Who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?'
He doesn't guilt her. He doesn't command her. He hands her a question — and a possibility. Maybe everything that's brought you here is for this exact moment.
She goes. She risks her life. Her people are saved. The question is still worth asking yourself: what if you're where you are for such a time as this?
