Read along.

Solomon has just finished building and dedicating the temple. God appears to him at night and says: 'If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.'

Four conditions on our side. Humble — get low. Pray — actually talk to him. Seek — look for him instead of waiting for him to chase you. Turn — change direction.

Three promises on his side. He'll hear. He'll forgive. He'll heal.

It's quoted often, sometimes thinly. But the structure is real. Repair happens when people stop posturing and start kneeling. That hasn't changed.
