Joshua is old and about to die. He gathers Israel and lays the choice out: serve the gods of Egypt, serve the gods of the Canaanites, or serve the Lord. 'Choose this day whom you will serve.'
Then the famous line: 'But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.'
Notice what he doesn't do. He doesn't force the choice on them. He makes his own and invites them to follow. That's leadership — clear, personal, not coerced.
And the choice he names is unavoidable. You will serve something. The only question is what. Joshua picked. He's asking you to pick too.
