Genesis 1 has a rhythm: God makes something, then says it is good. Light — good. Land — good. Animals — good. Humans — very good. Then Genesis 2 zooms in, and for the first time something is called 'not good.' It is not good that the man should be alone.
That is striking. Adam wasn't sinning. He had a garden, a job, and unbroken access to God. And it still wasn't enough on its own.
We were designed for company. Not because we are weak, but because we reflect a God who has always existed in relationship.
