Samuel goes to anoint Israel's next king. The oldest son walks out — tall, impressive. Samuel thinks, 'Surely this is the one.'
God says no, and gives the line we keep needing to hear: 'Man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.'
Seven sons pass by. None of them. Finally they send for the youngest, who's out with the sheep. That's the one.
What impresses people often misses God entirely. He sees what no résumé captures.
