Pharaoh's army is closing in. The Red Sea is in front of them. The people are panicking. And Moses says, 'The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.'
It's a strange assignment. Don't fight. Don't strategize. Don't even talk. Just stand there.
We aren't wired for that. We want to do something — anything — to feel useful. But sometimes the most faithful response is no response.
The pattern of salvation in the Bible is always the same: God does the saving. You receive it. The Red Sea is just the most dramatic version.
