John 4:24 — 'God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.' Jesus says this to a Samaritan woman who'd been arguing about the right mountain to worship on.

'God is spirit' — that changes everything. God isn't located in a building. He's not more present in Jerusalem than Samaria. He's spirit. He's everywhere. And that means worship isn't about geography.

'In spirit' means from the inside out. Not external ritual. Not going through the motions. Real worship is your actual self responding to God's actual presence. Heart worship. Not performance worship.

'In truth' means aligned with reality. Not the God you wish existed. The God who actually exists. Worship in spirit and truth is the full package — passionate and accurate. That's the worship God is seeking.
