Matthew 5:16 — 'Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.' This is Jesus' call to public faithfulness.

'Your light' — the visible effect of being with Jesus. Good works. Kindness. Integrity. Generosity. The things that make people ask 'Why are you like that?'

But notice the purpose. 'So that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father.' The light isn't about you. It's about God. Your goodness is evidence that points to the Giver.

This is evangelism by example. Not just explaining the gospel. Demonstrating it. Letting people see something different in how you live, work, love, and forgive. That's the light Jesus wants you to shine.
