Psalm 34:8 — 'Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!' This is one of the most inviting verses in the Bible.

'Taste' — you don't taste something by reading about it. You have to put it in your mouth. David is saying: experience God. Don't just agree with ideas about him. Actually try him.

'See' — personal discovery. Not secondhand knowledge. Not someone else's testimony. Your own eyes. Your own experience. That's what David is inviting you to.

And the conclusion? 'The LORD is good.' You don't start by knowing that. You arrive at it by tasting. And the one who takes refuge in him? Blessed. Protected. Provided for. That's the life of someone who's actually tried God.
