Romans 1:16 — 'For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.' This is Paul's thesis statement.
'Not ashamed' — shame makes you hide. Paul is saying he won't hide the gospel, even when it's unpopular, even when it costs him. Because the gospel is true.
'The power of God for salvation' — the gospel isn't just good advice. It's God's power. It actually saves people. It actually changes lives. It's not a philosophy. It's an event with ongoing effects.
And it's for everyone. Jew first, then Greek. No ethnic monopoly. No cultural gatekeeping. Everyone who believes. That's the scope.
