Psalm 119:105 — 'Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.' This is one of the most comforting verses about guidance in the Bible.

Notice the image. A lamp in the ancient world didn't illuminate the whole road. It illuminated the next few feet. Enough to take the next step without tripping.

That's how God's word works. It doesn't usually show you the whole plan. It shows you the next faithful step. And then the next one. And then the next one.

If you're waiting for God to show you the whole path before you move, you'll wait forever. The promise is a lamp, not a spotlight. Take the step you can see. The lamp will move with you.
