Matthew 7:7 — 'Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.'

Three commands. Three promises. And in Greek, the verbs are continuous — keep asking, keep seeking, keep knocking.

'Ask' is the most basic. Talk to God about what you need. He's not waiting for you to figure it out alone.

'Seek' is more involved. Pursue. Look for. Care enough to investigate. Not passive.

'Knock' is most active. Persistent. Won't take silence for an answer. Keep showing up at the door.

And every level of effort has a matching promise. Prayer isn't shouting into the void. It's a conversation with the one who's listening.
