1 Corinthians 13:13 — 'So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.'
Three things abide. Three things last. When everything else fades — gifts, eloquence, even prophecy — these three remain.
But Paul ranks them. Love is the greatest. Not because faith and hope don't matter. They do. But because love outlasts them.
In heaven, faith becomes sight. Hope becomes reality. But love just keeps going. Love never ends.
And love is the closest thing we have to the nature of God himself. God is love. So when you love, you're doing the most God-like thing you can do.
