Romans 12:2 — 'Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.'

'Conformed' is a word that means pressed into a mold from the outside. The world is constantly trying to shape you. Paul says — don't let it.

'Transformed' is a different word — metamorphosis. The same word used for a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. Change from the inside out.

And the place that change happens is your mind. What you think about. What you believe. What you feed yourself. Change your thinking, and your life follows.

The result: you'll be able to discern God's will. Not by signs or feelings, but because your renewed mind starts to recognize what's good and what isn't.
