Romans 15:13 — 'May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.'
God of hope is an identity, not just a function. He is the source. If hope is what you need, you are praying to the right address.
Joy and peace come through believing. Not through circumstances changing. Faith is the channel that lets the gifts flow in.
And the goal is to abound in hope. Not just have a little. Overflow with it. The power for that is the Holy Spirit, not your effort.
This was Paul's prayer for the church. Make it yours today. God of hope, fill me. He loves to answer that prayer.
