Matthew 5:14 — 'You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.' Jesus is talking to a crowd of fishermen, mothers, and field workers. Not professionals. Not celebrities.

And he doesn't say 'try to be light.' He says you are. Light is your identity now. The only question is whether you'll let it shine.

A city on a hill isn't hidden because hiding it would be absurd. That's the picture. A Christian trying to blend in is doing something against their nature.

Light exists for the things around it. A candle doesn't shine for itself. Your kindness, your honesty, your hope — they're meant to land on someone else's darkness.

So today, don't dim it. Don't apologize for it. Let people see the good and trace it back to the Father.
