Isaiah 41:10 is one of the most comforting verses in the whole Bible: 'Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.'

'Fear not' is the most repeated command in Scripture — because fear is the most repeated human experience. God knows we need to hear it often.

But the command isn't just 'stop being afraid.' It's grounded in a promise: 'for I am with you.' The reason you don't need to fear isn't because the danger is gone. It's because you're not facing it alone.

Then come three active verbs: I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you. Not 'I might.' Not 'I hope to.' I will. And the right hand of God — in ancient imagery — is the hand of power, authority, and covenant faithfulness.

The final phrase seals it: 'with my righteous right hand.' God's help isn't arbitrary. It's anchored in his own character. He is righteous, and he acts on behalf of his people. That's the foundation you stand on.
