1 Peter 5:7 is stunningly simple: 'Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.'

The word 'cast' is epiripto in Greek. It means to throw something onto something else. Not gently place. Throw. It's a decisive act of handing over what you can't carry.

'All your anxieties.' Not the respectable ones. Not the spiritual ones. All of them. Financial stress. Health fears. Parenting worries. Relationship tension. Political dread. All of it.

And the reason? 'Because he cares for you.' Not because he's obligated. Not because he has to. Because he cares. It's personal. He's interested. Your anxiety matters to him.

This is the opposite of burdening God. He isn't overwhelmed by your worries. He invites them. The cross proves he already carried your worst burden. Your daily anxieties are not too much for him.
