Galatians 5:22-23: 'But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.'
'Fruit' is singular in Greek. It's one fruit with nine flavors, not nine separate items to collect.
Fruit grows. It's not assembled, not manufactured, not gritted out by willpower. You don't strain to be patient — you stay rooted in the Spirit, and patience emerges.
Notice it starts with love and ends with self-control. The Spirit's work covers everything from how you treat others to how you treat yourself.
'Against such things there is no law.' These are the qualities that fulfill every command God ever gave. The Spirit doesn't bypass holiness — he produces it from the inside.
