Genesis 12:1: 'Now the Lord said to Abram, Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you.'
Three layers of leaving: country, extended family, immediate household. God asked Abraham to walk away from everything that defined him.
Notice the destination: 'the land that I will show you.' Not 'here's a map.' Just 'go, and I'll show you as you walk.'
This is how God still works. He rarely shows you the whole path. He shows you the next step and asks you to trust him for the rest.
Faith always involves leaving something. Not because the old thing is bad — but because God has something ahead that requires your hands to be free.
