Proverbs 3:5-6: 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.'
'Trust' in Hebrew is the word for leaning your full body weight on something. It assumes the thing you're leaning on will hold.
'With all your heart' — not half of it. Not the easy parts. All of it.
'Do not lean on your own understanding.' Your understanding is real but limited. Trust says: I'll go with what God says even when my analysis disagrees.
'In all your ways acknowledge him' — invite him into every decision, every relationship, every plan. The result? Paths he straightens out.
