Mark 12:30: 'And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'

A scribe asks Jesus: which commandment is the most important? Jesus quotes the Shema from Deuteronomy 6.

'Love the Lord your God.' Notice it's love, not just obedience. God isn't looking for begrudging compliance. He's looking for love.

'With all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.' Every part of you. Affections, will, intellect, body. Nothing held back.

This is the central command. Every other rule in Scripture is downstream from this one. Get this right, and the rest follows.
