Matthew 28:19-20: 'Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'
Jesus's final command. The marching orders for his church for the next two thousand years.
'Go' literally reads as 'as you are going.' As you live your life, make disciples wherever you find yourself.
'Make disciples' is the verb — not just converts. Disciples are followers being formed into Christlikeness over time.
And the encouragement: 'I am with you always.' The mission is huge, but you're not alone in it. The risen Lord goes with you.
