Psalm 139 is one of the most personal psalms in the Bible. David is reflecting on being known by God — every word, every move, every thought.
Then he turns to his own body: 'I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.'
'Fearfully' doesn't mean 'in a scary way.' It means with awe and reverence. The fact that you exist — your fingerprints, your immune system, your capacity to love and remember — is genuinely awe-inducing if you stop to think about it.
Whatever the voice in your head says about your worth, this verse is louder. You weren't made by accident. You were made on purpose, by someone who calls his work wonderful.
