Jacob is running for his life. He stops in the middle of nowhere, puts a rock under his head, and falls asleep. And there, in a place he picked at random, God shows up in a dream.
Jacob wakes up and says, 'Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.'
He didn't bring God to that spot. God was already there. Jacob just hadn't noticed.
Most of our God moments happen in places we wouldn't have chosen. On the run, between jobs, in the waiting room, in the dark. The location isn't the miracle. The awareness is.
