Transcript

Read along.

On the way up the mountain, Isaac asks where the lamb is. Abraham says, 'God will provide.' He's right — but not in the way he expects.

At the last possible moment, after the knife is raised, a ram appears in a thicket. Abraham names the place 'The LORD Will Provide.'

Notice the timing. The provision didn't come at the bottom of the mountain. It didn't come on the way up. It came at the last second.

And the ram caught in the thicket is a preview. Centuries later, another sacrifice will be provided on another hill — and that one will be the real point of the story.
