Proverbs 18:10 — 'The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.'
In an ancient city, the strong tower was the safest place. When the city was attacked, you ran for the tower. Thick walls. Elevated. Defensible.
'The name of the Lord' isn't just a label. In the Bible, a name represents the whole character and authority of the person. God's name is his identity.
'The righteous runs into it.' Active. Urgent. Not strolls. Runs. When trouble comes, the wise response is immediate movement toward God.
'And is safe.' Not might be. Is. The protection is real. The tower holds. That's the promise.
