Psalm 27:14 — 'Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!'

'Wait for the Lord.' Not passive. Active. Like a waiter at a restaurant — alert, ready, paying attention.

'Be strong.' Strength is a choice. Some days you have to decide to be strong because the feelings aren't there yet.

'Let your heart take courage.' Courage isn't manufactured. It's received. Borrowed from God. Let your heart take what he's giving.

And then the repeat. 'Wait for the Lord.' David ends where he started. Because waiting is the hardest part, and you'll need the reminder.
