Three verbs that escalate. Asking is simple. Seeking is sustained looking. Knocking is showing up at the door until someone answers.
Three matching promises. It will be given. You will find. It will be opened. Jesus is not vague.
Asking is the most basic posture of faith. It says: I don't have what I need, and I think you might. That's exactly the posture God loves.
And the verbs are continuous in the Greek. Keep asking. Keep seeking. Keep knocking. Persistence is the texture of true prayer.
