Psalm 119:11 — 'I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.'

Stored up is intentional. Treasured. Put on purpose into a safe place. Scripture didn't end up in his heart by accident.

And the heart, in the Bible, is more than emotions. It's the seat of the will, the place where decisions get made. Get the word into that place and decisions change.

The result is not sinning against God. Not perfection. Not avoiding every misstep. But a real, measurable defense against the lies and pulls of the day.

Memorization is unglamorous. Repeat a verse fifty times. But the payoff is enormous. When the moment of temptation comes, the verse will be there with you.
